154. Last One Laughing

It was the start of the new year and to be honest it hadnt gone particularly well, so we decided we wanted to watch something funny, and it just so happened that Prime popped up with Daisy May Cooper's face advertising this.

Now I love Daisy, I relate to her on occasion and I think she's funny, so as a fan I naturally gravitated towards this, but when I saw all the other comedians that were taking part I knew it was going to be a laugh a minute event...and it was.

A cast of Daisy May Cooper, Joe Wilkinson, Richard Ayoade, Lou Sanders, Sara Pascoe, Bob Mortimer, Judi Love, Rob Beckett, Harriet Kemsley, Joe Lycett, Jimmy Carr, and Roisin Conaty, you can't not laugh to be honest. The premise is that Jimmy and Roisin sit in another room and conduct ongoing chaos with the ultimate goal for the comedians living it- do not laugh. Those who laugh first get a yellow card as a warning, if they laugh a second time then they get a red card and they are out. The game gets increasingly weirder and therefore funnier especially as these people have to refrain from what they do best- laughing.

As a show I think it is quite clever and I can't believe it hasn't been thought of before, however it must be pure torture for these comedians. I'd quite like to see Noel Fielding in there and see how he gets on. While I was routing for Daisy I do love Bob and Judi so it was hard to cheer alongside so many well known faces.

Back when I was into watching comedic sets, these were the people who were making me laugh during dark times, with the exception of Harriet who's humour isn't quite my cup of tea. So in theory this line up was great for me and is why I really enjoyed it, but I reckon if you had a group of up and comings on then perhaps it wouldn't work so well. I think this worked as it had established funnies on, those who you see frequent 8 out of 10 cats and the like.

So I'm giving it an 8/10 as there is no point going any further in depth then that. It was funny and I ended up binging it in a single evening which isn't something I do a lot. But it was easy viewing and that is what you need days into 2026, something easy.
